East Coast Hawk Rally Pictures...

A work in progress.

Left to right: Matt's BMW, Erika's Hawk, Kirk's Hawk, Mark's Hawk,
Erika and Kirk in background, freezing.

Here we are at the first stop, where we met with Ron. I'm the guy who rode a gasp BMW to the Hawk rally, and I took the picture. Honest, I didn't realize it was State Police parking!

About 175 miles into the trip, cruising into a rest stop on I-81, Kirk had a little problem. Twist the throttle, and the bike doesn't go, it just makes funny noises.
What was left of Kirk's
countershaft sprocket
Known popularly as a stripped countershaft sprocket. So after a bit of calling around, Kirk found a friendly dealer just a few miles back, and he waits for them to pick him up. We continued on our way south.

Ron's Hawk
After a long cold ride we made it to the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground, but we were too cold and tired and it was too dark to take any pictures, but I think this picture, taken in the morning, demonstrates just how cold it was. In case you can't tell, what you see is FROST, on the 17th of May.

Back row: Matt, Erika, Ron
So, after the sun came over the mountain, and we ate our hearty breakfast, we gathered what was left of our group (since Kirk was somewhere in Virginia getting his sprocket fixed) and we took a picture.
