Off we went a-riding. Shortly into the ride, this VFR had a low-side directly in front of me. It was sobering. The
pilot was injured, thankfully Erika brought a celluar phone and we were able to call the rescue squad. As we teach in the
MSF ERC class, straighten, brake, turn. Dont combine the braking with the turn.

One of the more
memorable non-hawks that was at the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground was this FJ1100 sidehack. This is the "sport"
version, the owner imported the chassis from France.
The front wheel and the sidecar wheel steer together.

After dinner on
Saturday, we said Let's take a group picture before the light fades... To tell the truth, the light was already fading.
But we took a couple pictures anyway. While we were all standing around talking over the events of the day, we heard
a bike approaching (the aftermarket exhaust helped). Erika yelled There's Kirk!. He pulled up, new countershaft
sprocket and all, on his beautiful Yellow Hawk. Kirk sent along some photos
that he had taken, and it has taken me far too long to put them up. Sorry!
Kirk's Pictures.
After realizing that the trip home was pretty long, we turned in for an early start home. Here's a picture I took over my shoulder
in South-Western Virginia or Tennessee.
