TiniGPS

This is a project to make a GPS reciever accessible from a web browser. Not terribly useful, I admit, but kinda neat. I'm using a Dallas Semiconductor Tini Board read from a GPS reciever that puts out data in NMEA format. I've only tested it with a DeLorme Tripmate, but I believe that it should work with other NMEA capable GPS recievers. The Tripmate is a pretty cool device, and for a while DeLorme was closing them out for $50 each, but I guess they are sold out- I can't find it on their website anymore.

I'm doing this as my first attempt at a relatively complex Java program, so I'm sure my coding style leaves something to be desired. Here's a sample output page.

Here are the files:

I started this program by copying the TiniTerm program in Don Loomis's book The Tini Specification and Developer's Guide. I've since modified it extensively, hacking things up to get them working.

I'd appreciate any help (or encouragement)- please email me.
